Precision Restorations Made in Ireland
Experienced dental technicians, engineers and advanced digital manufacturing, working together to create exceptional tooth and implant-supported restorations.
We believe great restorations start with great teamwork.
So we work closely with dentists and their teams to create custom tooth and implant-supported crown and bridge restorations that are designed around each individual patient.
We achieve this by investing in our people, our skills and our technology. Our technicians continually develop their craft, while our digital workflows and advanced manufacturing capabilities give us the precision, consistency and control to produce exceptional restorations.
People, craftsmanship and technology — working together to make better dentistry.
Experience at the Core. Innovation in Every Restoration.
OCR Dental is a family-run digital dental laboratory based in the heart of Limerick City, overlooking the Abbey River.
Since 2001, we have proudly worked alongside Irish dental surgeons, specialist prosthodontists, dental hospitals and their patients, building long-standing relationships based on quality, reliability and trust.
Today, we combine that experience with advanced digital design and in-house manufacturing, allowing us to maintain control over every stage of the process — from initial design through to the finished restoration.
For us, technology is a tool — it is our people who make the difference. By continually investing in our team, developing our skills and embracing new technology, we are able to deliver restorations that meet the highest standards of fit, function and aesthetics.
Over 150 years of technical experience under one roof, continually evolving.
What We Do
We specialize in the manufacture of fixed tooth and implant-supported restorations, combining the skill and experience of our dental technicians and engineers with the latest digital technology, advanced manufacturing systems and carefully selected materials.
From everyday crown and bridge work to complex implant cases, our approach remains the same — understand the case, select the correct materials and manufacture with precision.
Crown & Bridge
Functional and aesthetic tooth supported restorations designed around the individual patient - single centrals to full mouth rehab and everything in between.
Implants
Precision implant-supported restorations, from individual units to complex full arch multi material cases.
Digital Dentistry
Integrated digital workflows using 3Shape, Exocad and advanced CAM technologies.
Contract Manufacturing
Milling and 3D printing for dental laboratories and other professional partners.
Technology With a Purpose
Technology is an important part of what we do, but we don't invest in equipment simply for the sake of it.
We invest in technology because it allows our people to design and manufacture precision restorations.
Our digital manufacturing capabilities include advanced 3Shape and Exocad design, Hyperdent CAM, High speed 5-axis machining, DLP and SLA 3D printing
By keeping these processes in-house, we can continually refine our workflows, respond to complex requirements and maintain consistent quality from design through to manufacture.
Engineering & Manufacturing
Behind our digital workflow is a dedicated engineering capability that brings together engineering expertise, manufacturing knowledge and dental technology.
Our engineers work closely with our technicians throughout the entire process, from digital design and material selection through to milling, 3D printing and finishing.
This allows us to develop, troubleshoot and refine our manufacturing processes in-house, rather than relying on outsourced solutions.
As dental technology continues to evolve, so do we. Our engineering department allows us to continually improve the way we work, introduce new technologies and take on increasingly complex restorative challenges.
Engineering precision. Dental expertise. One team.
Precision 5-Axis Milling
5-axis milling is one of our core manufacturing processes, and we have invested heavily in a comprehensive range of precision milling equipment and advanced CAM technology.
Using Hyperdent CAM software, our milling centre allows us to manufacture a wide range of restorative materials and indications in-house, including some of the most complex geometries.
Keeping this process in-house gives us complete control from design through to manufacture, helping us maintain consistency, precision and quality, while avoiding the delays and variability that can come with outsourcing.
Advanced 3D Printing
Our investment in multiple 3D printing technologies has given us extensive in-house additive manufacturing capabilities across both DLP and SLA platforms.
This allows us to produce crown, bridge and implant models, occlusal splints, surgical guides, temporary restorations and implant bridge try-ins in-house.
Keeping these processes under our own roof gives us greater control over production, quality and turnaround, while allowing our technicians and engineers to continually develop new digital workflows.
Digital when it makes sense. Handmade when it matters.
Expertise in Digital Design
We are a close-knit team of highly trained dental technicians and engineers, with extensive experience across all aspects of CAD design.
The move towards intraoral scanning and the rapid development of new restorative materials have transformed the way we design and manufacture restorations. We have embraced that change, combining digital workflows with the knowledge and experience gained through traditional dental technology.
Each technician has their own dedicated CAD workstation alongside their traditional bench, allowing us to move seamlessly between digital design and hands-on craftsmanship.
Digital precision. Technical expertise.
A Partnership, Not Just a Service
The best results come from working closely together. We take the time to understand each case, communicate clearly and deliver restorations with the care and precision your patients deserve.
